Reese Chappellet
Instructor
Before her most recent adventure of motherhood, Reese was a river guide in her home state of California for four seasons. Guiding for All Outdoors, she found herself in leadership roles on their class IV river rips down the Middle Fork of the American River. Leading trips of upwards of 36 guest and 6 guides, she navigated the challenges that came with the job: popped or stuck boats, swimmers, flips, runaway boats after portage, nervous guests, and even injured teammates, not to mention, perfectly timed meals on overnight trips.
Between seasons she followed her other passion of cooking, finding herself the only woman in the kitchen as a line cook at a well renowned restaurant living in Santa Cruz. She continues to enjoy cooking for and with her family and trying new recipes.
In the off season of 2022-2023 she met her partner and Ripley’s dad, Peter, while they were ski instructing at Steamboat Springs. Ripley was born into quite the family of thrill-seekers! They can’t wait to get him on the slopes and in the rapids.
In her current season of life, you can find Reese chasing Ripley to see the neighbor pig, Penny, looking for the best croissant in coffee shops, and finding ways to get outside and active with Ripley.
Reese is passionate about getting moms together and moving. We are stronger together! Having attended prenatal yoga from 6-40 weeks and then baby and me yoga for 6 months after that, she’s familiar with the importance of community in motherhood. Reese is confident that Fit4moms is the perfect place to nurture those relationships and grow together.
